| Although
it continued to explore the theme of creating more
peaceful, inclusive societies, Cultures in Conflicts
was markedly different than Arts: towards an inclusive
society. Whereas the 2005 event explored community
arts practice in different contexts and different
challenges, Cultures and Conflicts looked at community
arts and conflict from a more policy orientated perspective.
CAF
teamed up with European policy and culture networks
Banlieues d’Europe and Les Recontres and local
carnival group the Beat Initiative to explore in more
detail the impact that arts and culture can play in
societies affected by conflict and division. |
