21/3/2009 Arts practitioners development/support group - taster sessionInformation/taster session on Saturday 21st March 10.00-1pm, at CAF, Belfast
This is a personal and Professional development group for arts practitioners engaged in social change. The session is for arts practitioners interested in developing a supportive and challenging learning environment.
Subject to interest and commitment, the group will work & play towards:
- Create a safe and energising group for reviewing past, current and intended work.
- Experiment together and developing a group process for feedback to and from other participants
- Explore difficult situations and having difficult conversations with more ease, compassion and optimism, including addressing challenging work contexts and supporting self care.
Subject to interest and commitment, the taster will develop into a monthly group which will meet for 3 hours for a period agreed by group members.

About the group
The group will be facilitated by Rosie Burrows. Rosie works with individuals, groups and organisations and has expertise and interest in supporting those involved in personal & social change. She has worked with a wide range of groups over the last 18 years including women’s groups, prisoners, interface, rural, education, health and arts groups, as well as state organisations. With Bríd Keenan, she has developed a range of internationally recognised and award winning resources for workers in the field of trauma, conflict and transformation – www.barnardos.org.uk/selfempowermentproject and www.traumahealing.com. She is involved in creative writing, music and mayhem.
