CAF faciliates an ongoing programme of public seminar to explore current issues relevant to community development and the arts.

Summary of seminars available to view online:

A Woman's Part: Participants and facilitators from the Community Arts Forum's creative writing and drama project which explored the role of women activists during the conflict in Northern Ireland discuss their experience of the project. The programme includes readings from the book published at the end of the project featuring participants work.

Orangefest - Commemoration or festival?: A seminar organised by the CAF exploring the future of direction of Orangefest (traditional July Orange Order parade), as it deals with a change in focus from a commemorative to a festival event. 26 June 2007.

Celebrating women's voices in literature?: CAF and the Creative Writers ' Network teamed up to host a special event celebrating women's voices in literature and International Womens' Day. 8 March 2007.

City centre parades - shared celebration or political correctness?: CAF organised a seminar exploring the changes in the management of Belfast's St. Patrick's Day parade over the past few years and the result of those changes. 26 February 2007.

Re-imaging communities: A studio discussion following the announcement of a £3.5m arts programme to tackle visible signs of sectarianism and racism in Northern Ireland. The seminar was part of the Cultures and Conflict conference organised by Community Arts Forum in partnership with Banlieues d'Europe held in Belfast in November 2006.
