The Community Arts Forum and the Creative Writers ' Network teamed up to host a special event celebrating women's voices in literature and International Womens' Day.

The panel consisted of Ruth Carr, writer and tutor, Maria McManus, writer on attachment with Tinderbox, and Eilish Martin, Writer.

The discussion explores and celebrates developments in local women's writing over the past three decades and explores how women can best challenge hierarchies as they manage. Audience members participated with comments, songs and poems.

The event was hosted and filmed by Northern Visions Television (NVTV) on 8 March 2007.
